Owl Pellet Dissection Lab

Designed specifically for 4th grade and older, an educator will give a ~30 minute presentation featuring 2 live owl ambassadors and discuss the adaptations owls possess that make them such supreme nocturnal hunters as well as their role in the food web. The presentation will be followed by a guided pellet dissection lab. Program includes all materials for 30 participants, additional supplies can be purchased. Touchable artifacts (such as wings, feet, pellets, etc.) and recorded vocalizations will be available. No touching of birds is permitted.
